Recognition of “Yemeni Tunes on the Nile” by the Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism

Yemeni Culture Foundation Honored by the Minister of Media, Culture, and Tourism

Minister of Media, Culture, and Tourism, Mr. Muammar Al-Eryani, honored Hadhramout Culture Foundation at the Yemen Satellite TV building, represented by Engineer Abdullah Ahmed Baqshan, Chairman of the Board of Founders, and Maestro Mohammed Al-Qahoom, Head of the Music Department. The recognition came on the occasion of the Yemeni Orchestra concert “Yemeni Tunes on the Nile”, which won, jointly with the Kingdom of Morocco, at the 22nd Arab Radio and Television Festival held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The concert, held at the Cairo Opera House, featured nine Yemeni heritage pieces performed by more than 120 musicians under the creative direction of Maestro Mohammed Al-Qahoom. The event was supported by the Yemeni Ministry of Media, Culture, and Tourism, Hadhramout Culture Foundation, the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, and the Cairo Opera House.

The honoring ceremony was attended by Mr. Jameel Ezzedine, Head of the Yemeni Judicial Sector, Mr. Khaled Alyan, Director of Programs, and several other sector officials.
