Hadhramout Cultural Foundation hosts the musical evening “Hadhrami Nights” in collaboration with Memes Art Initiative

The Hadhramout Cultural Foundation, in partnership with the MEMES Art Initiative, inaugurated its 2022 musical evenings series with a captivating performance titled “Hadhrami Nights.”
The evening featured five musical segments, each presenting a traditional Hadhrami composition reimagined with contemporary touches, performed by the ensemble under the direction of Maestro Samir Kaash.
The program concluded with a special medley dedicated to the legendary Hadhrami singer Karama Mursel, titled “Mursal.” Earlier in the evening, the audience enjoyed a tribute to the late Mohammed Juma Khan, with one of his compositions performed and enriched by modern Indian rhythms.
This event marked the official launch of the Foundation’s Music Department, which operates alongside its Literature and Theatre Departments.
The evening received an enthusiastic response from the audience, reflecting both the outstanding performance of the ensemble and the professional organization by the Hadhramout Cultural Foundation and the MEMES Art Initiative
